Bungy Jumping Bungy jumping is a popular adventure sport that originated in Nepal. The Last Resort, located in the northern part of Nepal, is a popular destination for bungy jumping. It is a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu and is located 100km northeast of the city, near the Tibet border. The bungy jumping site at The Last Resort features a 166m wide steel suspension bridge that spans the Bhoti Kosi River gorge. The bridge, which was designed by the Swiss specifically for bungy jumping and has a 4x safety factor, is located at an altitude of 3600 feet (600 feet lower than Kathmandu). Pokhara, another popular destination for adventure sports in Nepal, is known for its wide variety of activities such as paragliding, ultra flight, zip-flying, par hawking, trekking, and stand-up paddling. In Pokhara, visitors can also try the water touch bungy jump at Hemja, near the Tibetan camp. Kushma Bungee Jump, located on the border of Baglung and the Kushma district of Nepal, is the highest bungee jump in Nepal and the second-highest in the world, reaching a height of 228 meters. There are also two other bungee jump spots in Nepal - The Last Resort and High-ground Bungee Jump - which reach heights of 160 meters and 70 meters, respectively.
